Last Monday we started our holiday nr 2. Friends of John and Di have been so kind and let us borrow their holiday house in Hawks Nest, which is about three hours north of Sydney. We drove up in the evening thinking the boys would sleep the whole way... Johan did but of course Henry woke up with about 30 min still to go so we had some backseat screaming (he just loves to ride in a car...) before we got to the house.
We have been spending most of our time on the beach. This is Jimmys beach. Very family friendly with no waves.
The beach tent we bought has been great, it keeps you out of the sun if you want to and it´s perfect for when Henry has his naps.
A pelican, there is a lot of them around in the area.
Dolphins just off the shore line.
This is Hawks Nest beach. It´s bigger than Jimmys beach and have more waves, we thought it would be fun for Johan.
Digging holes and building sand castles.
On Saturday we took a trip to Morpeth. The town dates back to the 1820s and has old colonial buildings, art galleries, art and crafts shops and cafés.
Morpeth sourdough has lovely bread that we brought with us home.
In the afternoon we stopped at a lookout point called Hole in the wall and we enjoyed the views of the stunning coast line.
Johan found heaps of shells and then played for a long time in the waves.
