We were fortunate to get a good deal on a washing machine, but that's not for this blog, but this installation of the washing machine left us with some good wall space and kind of a weird empty area in the bathroom.
When mom and dad was here we talked about putting in a wall cabinet above the washing machine but never got around to it. We were on vacation after all.
Anyway, a couple of trips to ikea later and we had decided on a wall cabinet that matched the other cabinets in the bathroom and would also fit nicely.
And here is the result, notice the grey cord running downn the corner? that is the power cord for the washing machine that now runs behind the cabinet and to a power point on the wall.
And here is elin cleaning the shelves before I installed them.
We don't have much stored away in there but probably will have more when the little one comes. You can see the power point at the top. We had to be able to unplug the machine and with the power point been on the wall behind the cabinet I had to make a way we could easiler unplug it. It also had to be nicely finished.
