A day at the beach

The weather finally turned sunny (unlike sweden's weather, hehe, sorry) and we jumped at a chance to take johan to his first beach. Its was still a little too cold for him to wear his new billabong boardshorts but its was warm enough for mom and dad to dress like it was summer, and wear sun screen.

We started at Watsons Bay, did a quick tour of the sand which wasn't warmly received and then after a play on the swings we had some lunch.

Johan's first view looking out to sea, he spent some time standing there just watching stuff happen around him.

Johan's first Australian beach experience, didn't go down too well but it is winter.
Watsons Bay, right on the tip of Sydney Harbour and is a nice kid friendly place.

After lunch at Watsons Bay we headed around the corner to Parsley Bay, which was sheltered from the wind, and attempted to introduce Johan to the sand again. Once again, fail, the little guy was a still worried about the sand and water and spent most of the time standing on one foot to try and avoid it.

On the way home we stopped in at beckys and Johan got in some good play time with his new mates.

A couple of Australian icons we observed along the way, a kookaburra bird and the bridge.
