Yesterday Johan turned 7 weeks and we had a check up again to see how he is growing. Johan is now 57 cm long and weighs 5,5 kg. It´s amazing how fast he is growing, something that is both fun and scary. Us moms, sitting in the waithing room breast feeding together, often talk about how lovely it is to see them develop new skills every day but at the same time you want them to be small and cute forever.

I try to take photos almost every day and one day last week I used the black and white function on the camera.

Here is another attempt to try and catch Johans smile on camera.

Having a cuddle with daddy before bed.

The Roberts-Carlström family.

The weather is changing with warmer temperature and sunny days wich makes all the snow melt. However, it´s still cold so when I go out with Johan he needs to be properly dressed. He looks like a little polar bear baby in this suit! The towel is there because he vomits constantly after a meal so this is an attempt to save the overall.

And here Johan is with his face full of vomit. Since he is putting on weight we´re not worried about it but it´s just a hassle every time he eats, you need to have towels and wipes ready close to you. We all change clothes a couple of times a day. Johan doesn´t seem to mind and be botherd about it so I guess that´s fine.

awww he is looking so adorable :)
Thank you for taking so many photos. We love seeing how he is growing. He is looking more and more alert.
Ben and Alex were both big vomiters. Alex would projectile across the room or fountain straight up into the air but it was Ben who was vomited every single meal. The doctor told us to keep him upright for half an hour after every feed and he had to sleep on his right hand side, propped up with an U shaped pillow and his bassinet on phone books at one end. It really made a difference. If we didn't position him the way the Dr said we would end up having to change his sheets after every nap. After about 3 months of sleeping the way the Dr said things were much better and then once Ben started sitting he stopped being sick.
We found cloth nappies were the best vomit towels. You can get big packs of them here cheap and in bright colours too. They're easy to carry around and double as change mats and we layered them in his bed too. They make great cleaning clothes when he grows up too :) I still have a pile I could send you but they'd cost too much to post :(

Gorgeous both of you and Dad. Very soon he will be reaching for the camera. I can see he only vomits on Daddy! It could be a comment about being without him each week day.
